New York Governor Paterson Signs Executive Order No. 24,
Effectively Aiming to Cut New York's Economic Activity 80% by 2050
The executive order by Paterson begins:
WHEREAS, an emerging scientific consensus recognizes that the increased
concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, along with other
heat-trapping greenhouse gasses, resulting from the combustion of
fossil fuels and other human sources, warms the planet and changes its
climate;...
Yet
many scientists like myself and the signers of the petition on this
website believe CO2 IS NOT the driver of climate change, Order 24,
Section 4 states:
In
aspiring to meet the greenhouse gas emission reduction goal, the
Council, in preparing the Climate Action Plan, shall: inventory
greenhouse gas emissions within the State, including the relative
contribution of each type of emission source.
So
it seems businesses and individuals will be included in the inventory to
quantify CO2 emissions -- better hide your lawnmower and God forbid you have a
tractor or SUV -- the state will be on to you! Perhaps the "green jobs" Paterson is talking about
creating are fabricators of camouflage for your evil fossil fuel burning equipment?
Unbelievable.

New York's Cap and Trade System (ie RGGI www.rggi.org) Yields $117 Million ($3.51 per ton of CO2 from RGGI)
The ten northeastern states that comprise the Regional Greenhouse Gas
Initiative (RGGI) raised more than $117 million in its third auction of
carbon emission allowances for the 2009-2012 time period. (click

Latest and Greatest Waxman-Markey
Bill language changed
to "Consumer Refunds" from "Rebates", Also, Treasury trumps President
The latest (June 19, 2009) "Clean Energy Bill" Refund Section
states:
SEC. 789.
CLIMATE CHANGE CONSUMER REFUNDS.
`(a) Refund- In each year after deposits are made to
the Climate Change Consumer Refund Account, the Secretary of the
Treasury shall provide tax refunds on a per capita basis to each
household in the United States that shall collectively equal the amount
deposited into the Climate Change Consumer Refund Account.
Compare this to the original (see my June 4th write up below).
The latest and greatest "CO2 Tax + Kitchen Sink Bill" (aka
Waxman-Markey Clean Energy Bill) shows a change in language to
"consumer refunds" from "rebates" and to Treasury (which effectively is
controlled BY THE PRESIDENT) from the more honest and straightforward
"President".
Also gone is the pre-election date
for the "consumer refunds" -- it's probably best to leave out a date so
the President can decide the best time to prime the electorate pump. It
has been written in 1759 that George Washington in his first
election for a seat in Virginia's House of Burgesses paid for
160
gallons of rum, wine, beer, and punch on election day. So Obama seems
to be in good company -- perhaps he can buy everyone a case
of
Sam Adams beer with the Climate Change Refund Account? However,
Washington did not take money from individuals and corporations in the
names of an unscientific CO2 tax and "spread it around" to others.
Therefore, in 2012 if I were offered a case of Sam Adams beer or other
"consumer refund" from Obama, I would have to politely decline the
historic gesture and remind him, this is the 21st Century.

Almost 50% of Soros' portfolio in 1st Quater
of 2009 is
in OIL ... yet he supports the "CO2 Tax" to control "Global
Warming"?
Soros writes
in a recent book,
"Neither energy security nor the
control of
global warming can be achieved without putting a price on carbon
emissions. "
Yet according to several sources, approximately 50% of Soros' portfolio
in April of 2009 is in OIL.

Soros' publicly stated philosophy is now being realized as U.S. Law through the Waxman-Markey Bill.
Soros also is invested in Powerspan, a Carbon Capture which financially
benefits from Waxman-Markey. (Carbon Capture is the discharging of CO2
into tanks instead of the air where it would benefit plants).
So Soros seems set on increasing the price of oil for most Americans,
while he benefits from a short term windfall from the panic he created.

Powerspan seeks DOE Grants for CO2 Capture
A group of investors, including George Soros,

funneled $50 million into Powerspan, a company
that devises ways to remove carbon dioxide from coal plant emissions.

CO2 Tax Bill provides mechanism for Obama to
"Distribute Funds to Each Household"
Section Sec. 789 (a) of the Waxman-Markey CO2 Tax Bill states:
Sec. 789 (a) Rebate- Not later than October 31 of each calendar
year, the President, or such Federal agency or department as the
President may designate, shall distribute the funds in the Consumer
Climate Change Rebate Fund on a per capita basis to each household in
the United States.
In other words, just in time for elections, Congress/Obama shall
"distribute the funds". Reality is stranger than fiction --
see
below link to read more of the madness.
So to sum up the current state of the CO2 Tax Bill, the bill's
foundation on non-science, that CO2 drives climate
change.(The
majority of Americans wisely do not believe this.) Based on this
non-science foundation, the energy and transportation sector
of
the economy are wacked with a new tax --the CO2 Tax ( aka cap and
trade). Finally, some of the revenue generated from the CO2 tax will be
redistributed by the "President or department the President designates"
to "each citizen in the United States" in the form of a "rebate" mailed
to voting citizens "no later than October 31st" -- just in
time
for the elections.
But all citizens are not the only ones being paid off. Of course the
process itself let's Al Gore's software company Hara Software, as well
as numerous other Washington/New York/Silicon Valley companies to
siphon money and power from the energy and transportation sector of the
U.S. economy. The list of special interests is too long for
me to
list in this writing but I would call them "Extreme Lobbyists" -- they
are not just influencing policy, they seem to be writing laws that
Congress only has the time to "speed read".
Fellow Americans, we are running out of time.
We must publicly show our opposition to the proposed CO2 tax
laws.

couldn't believe my eyes when I browsed this bill -- unbelievable. I
have to rethink the CO2 tax protest because the 111th
Congress
has expanded its scope into other areas beyond the Cap and Trade Tax
System. Cancel your subscription to "Mad Magazine" -- the Gang of
Idiots in the 111th Congress is far funnier. I just want to warn you,
dear reader, to avoid reading more than 10-pages of the above "Clean
Energy Bill"
without a break -- you may bust a rib from laughing.
Since
this "Gang of Idiots" has the power to make laws that govern us,
we can not sit idle. Therefore, CO2isOK.org is organizing a peaceful
July 4th march from local Churches to Town and City Halls
across
the United States, but NOT Washington, DC -- lobbyists and legislators
are not welcome.
